Autonomous systems can assist in defence tasks in multiple ways, from border surveillance, hotspot inspection to landmine detection. They can also be used to deliver packages (ammunition, medicine, food, etc.) to a given area or to monitor an area and determine if it is safe before being able to move into it, without risking human lives. Even borders could be monitored using the capabilities of the different payloads available.

Thanks to the use of MUMT, convoy surveillance can be carried out to ensure their safety. The use of autonomous vehicles can detect in advance the presence of roadblocks or ambushes, giving clues to undesirable movements of men and material.
